I usually don't keep going when a book is taking me this long to get through. I kept going because for the most part I enjoyed the writing style and I enjoyed the premise of the book. I felt that the relationship between Alaizabel and Thaniel was predictable although there was no real build-up to it, it just was. The explanation of the wych-kin and where they came from seemed like a last minute attempt at answering unanswered questions. I felt let down when I finished it. I really enjoyed it and then it just teetered off for me.
